Our Approach -

Experiential learning creates adaptive behaviors... re-engage experiential learning in real time to re-engineer adpative behavior.

The science behind the Adaptive Behavioral health method is the restructuring of behavior in response to stress through self-directed observation and generation of new experiences. Specific circuitry in social and emotional behaviors are shaped by ongoing as well as early experience governing differences among individuals in their vulnerability and resilience to future adversity.

It took almost 30 years to integrate 'experiential learning' as part of a new perspective on lowering stress and building resilience to future stress.

1974 Kaplan discovers Neuroplasticity and the regulation of gene expression by social factors -Neuroplasticity is the ability of neurons to strengthen or weaken the connectivity based on new experiences. In relation to neurogenisis, plasticity is one way the brain recovers from chronic stress and stress events.

1977 Engel develops a  Biopsychosocial perspective –

1987 Glaser and Glaser see that stress impairs the immune system –

1988 Bandura looks at the self-efficacy of anxiety –

1999 Gould sees that earning enhances neurogenisis in the hippocampus. –Neurogenisis is the process by which neurons proliferate and integrate in the brain.

2000 McEwen describes the Allostatic load of homones in the brain. Epidemiological studies suggests that stress may be the underlying factor that contributes to many health outcomes due to this deregulation effect in multiple systems throughuot the body. Chronic stress is increasingly identified as a cause in cardiovascular diseases, obesity, asthma, and all-cause mortality.

Consistent with these findings, biological studies that assess physiological responses to chronic stress show that repeated exposure can also lead to Allostatic overload, a deregulation and dysfunction that occurs at levels of molecules, cells, and organs.

2012 - 2016 We develop programs to for users to re-engage with real time stress to find solutions not just temporary relief.
